WORLD BOOK DAY

Here’s a ‘hurry up and choose’ poem for Thursday 7th March

Who shall I go as?

What will I be?

Maybe a Tiger

Who’s hungry for tea?

_______

Harry Potter, Matilda,

The Cat in the Hat?

A Snail, or a Whale,

Or Ratine the Rat?

_______

Stickman, a Gruffalo,

The Witch from the West?

A Wild Thing, a Pirate,

Oh, what will be best?

_______

Maybe Jane Austen,

Will Shakespeare would do.

Michael Murpurgo

Or Winnie the Pooh?

_______

Peter Rabbit, or Alice,

Toy Story – which Toy?

Woody, Buzz Lightyear?

Perhaps Billionaire Boy?

_______

Who shall I go as?

Please help me decide.

I just cannot choose

The book lover cried.

_______

The decision is driving me

Right round the bend.

By the time I’ve decided

World Book Day will end!
