THE DIFFERENT WAYS OF BEING YOU!

I have been to several schools over the past year and they have all been interested in the section in my book called BEING YOU! To that end I began to think about different ways to express that sentiment. And here is a poem about Being Me in Food!

ME IN FOOD

Sometimes I’m as cool as a cucumber.

Sometimes my legs turn to jelly.

Sometimes I walk on eggshells

With feet that are cheesy and smelly.

……

I’ve earned my bread and butter.

I’m the apple of somebody’s eye.

They say I’m a really smart cookie

With a finger in every pie.

…..

Sometimes I eat like a bird,

Sometimes I eat like a horse.

Sometimes I eat my heart out,

(But that’s not quite true of course!)

…..

Some things I do are a piece of cake.

Sometimes they’re pie in the sky.

Sometimes I’m top banana

With bigger fish to fry.

…..

I’m not a couch potato,

It’s not my cup of tea.

Am I a recipe for disaster?

I don’t know, you tell me!

…..

Sometimes I’m flat as a pancake.

Sometimes I spill the beans.

Then I’m told I must eat my words

I don’t really know what that means!

…..

I seem to have a lot on my plate,

Plenty of food for thought.

They say I’m a hard nut to crack.

I take it all with a pinch of salt.
