Happy Easter holidays! I hope you’re enjoying some fun in the sun. It will soon be time for Easter egg hunts and lunch and here is a bit of a silly easter poem to put you in the mood!

EASTER EGG SURPRISE

All around the garden

They ran with legs and eyes,

Searching for the hidden eggs,

An Easter Hunt surprise.

**

Chocolate eggs, sugar eggs

Hiding everywhere.

Waiting for their little hands

To grab them then and there.

**

They searched each nook and cranny

And then a child, quite stricken,

Had found an egg and squished it –

An egg laid by our chicken!

AND A POEM FOR SPRING

WALKING WITH SPRING

Where the moss turns green

and softens the lawn,

Spring has a spring in its step.

***

Where yellow daffodils

and primrose beam,

Spring has a spring in its step.

***

Where purple aubretia

pops out from the wall,

Spring has a spring in its step.

***

Where magnolia buds

bloom ice-pink in the tree,

Spring has a spring in its step.

***

Where new life begins

in colourful joy,

Spring has a spring in its step.

And for all you sleepy-heads – a little haiku

TIME TO GET UP

Sun wakes up and smiles.

Day unfolds, stretches its arms.

Releases morning.

HAPPY EASTER = see you next month!
