7th & 8th December – Christmas Poems
A BIT OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC
A sprinkle of wishes.
A whisper of spells.
A flurry of snowflakes.
A tinkling of bells.
***
A crackle of paper.
A sparkle of trees.
A noise in the chimney.
Whose boots are these?

OUR FAMILY TREE
Our Christmas tree is a beautiful tree
a healthy, happy, family tree.
***
All year in a tub it thrives outside,
and every year we bring it inside.
***
We dress it with lights and glittering balls,
and it proudly stands, like a king, in the hall.
***
At the top of the tree, we place a star –
for the shining star that shone from afar.
***
It glows at night with a twinkling light
and brightens the hall, for our delight.
***
On Christmas Day, around its base,
gifts bring a smile to a family face.
***
It’s always been there for you and me.
Our Christmas tree, our family tree.
***
And every year when twelfth night arrives,
we return our tree, in the tub, outside,
***
to grow and thrive, we hope and pray,
to brighten another Christmas Day.
