17th & 18th December – More Christmas poems for you to open! This time I have included some Christmas card verses I used for a workshop – why not have a go at writing your own!

SHORT CHRISTMAS VERSES

CHRISTMAS LUNCH

It’s Christmas morning,

and I’ve got a hunch.

Someone’s up early

preparing the lunch!

***

I MADE A WISH

Christmas is a time for sharing,

for sending special wishes.

I wish you joy and happiness

and someone to wash the dishes!

***

BOOT PRINTS

The Christmas tree is glowing,

there are gifts for all to share.

Santa came last night

and left his boot prints on the stair!

***

STOCKING

I know it must be Christmas

‘cos they’ve put me by the tree.

I’m stuffed with lots of presents

and a book of POETRY!

And a LIMERICK

OOP’S!

When Santa got stuck up the chimney

we dragged him out by his clothes.

His boots fell off.

He started to cough,

as soot came out of his nose!
